A Danish circular dining/ hall table, circa 1960s/70s. The table having a design with gilt spirals, all raised on a chrome tulip base. Plaque to underside. The collaboration between Danish designer/manufacturer Poul Cadovius and France & Søn in the 1960s produced striking mid-century modern furniture, notably circular dining and coffee tables. These pieces feature minimalist forms enriched with the distinctive, decorative hand-painted or gilt spiral designs of artist Susanne Mugge.
