Catherine Reynolds is an abstract artist based in London and Rye.

Her artistic process is born from play and she is drawn to the optimism and joy of colour. 

Catherine's work is spontaneous, painting what she sees around her she's inspired by colour + combinations - what people wear, shop windows, the kitchen shelf.

Using collage to create texture and to  play with shape and form, her process is as much about dismantling as about putting together, reworking what she started, the old the basis of the new. 

She finds beauty in imperfection, she likes mistakes and the bits in between.
