“With clay I find myself caught up in how the material reacts in the various stages and processes that are required for a finished piece; The wild unpredictability of the medium and motions of my hands, tools and brushes captured and frozen in time by fire. I take great pleasure in the volatility of ceramics and how the alchemy of the kiln produces seemingly magic results from fleeting actions.”
