(All our images have been captured throughout the same day and in natural daylight in our Rye studio. The nature of Nadia’s paintings means they take on warmth in sunlight and cooler tones in shade. Indoor lighting will similarly bring out warmer hues.)
Nadia Tuercke's work brings together subtle colour palettes, textured layers and simplified forms, taking inspiration from textile design, quilting, and “anything with an unexpected arrangement, unusual colour combination or surprising clash of print or pattern”.
After graduating with a Fine Art degree from Liverpool Art School, Nadia now paints in her garden studio in East London.
Focusing on plants as subject matter comes from her interests in botanical gardens, trees and plants seen during her travels and her own vast collection of palms, cacti and succulents.
