Luke Edward Sothcott

Luke Edward Sothcott, a contemporary British painter, draws inspiration from Zen Buddhist philosophy and embraces the essence of wabi sabi. He embraces the concept of allowing "mistakes" to occur in his work without judgment. By allowing random marks to form into clusters of passion, Luke challenges viewers to question their preconceived notions of what is "correct" in an image.

Luke's reputation as a young emerging artist has grown rapidly. His collections from 2019 to the present day have consistently sold out, attracting collectors and generating interest internationally.
